  • Do not exaggerate, fabricate, or omit significant facts to mislead other readers.
  • If you received a free or discounted service in exchange for a review, you must clearly disclose this.

2. No Harassment or Personal Attacks

  • Do not use threatening, abusive, or intimidating language.
  • Do not target individual staff members with personal attacks. You may comment on service quality professionally.
  • Do not bully, stalk, or repeatedly harass businesses or other users.

3. No Discrimination

  • Reviews must not contain discriminatory content based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic under UK law.

4. No Confidential Information

  • Do not share personal contact details of staff or other customers (phone numbers, addresses, email addresses).
  • Do not disclose private health information, financial details, or other sensitive data about any individual.

5. No Advertising or Spam

  • Reviews must not contain advertising for other businesses or services.
  • Do not include links to external websites, social media profiles, or promotional material.
  • Do not submit duplicate reviews or use automated tools to post reviews.

6. Appropriate Images

  • Uploaded images must be relevant to your review (e.g., photos of your hairstyle result, salon interior).
  • Do not upload offensive, explicit, violent, or unrelated images.
  • Do not upload images containing identifiable individuals without their consent.

7. Consequences of Violations

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

  • Review Removal: Reviews that breach these guidelines will be removed without notice.
  • Account Warning: A formal warning will be issued for first-time violations.
  • Account Suspension: Repeated or serious violations will result in temporary or permanent account suspension.
  • Legal Action: In cases of defamation, fraud, or other illegal activity, we may refer the matter to the appropriate authorities.

8. Reporting Violations

If you see a review that violates these guidelines, please use the "Report" button on the review, or contact us at moderation@hairdresserreviews.co.uk. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

9. Our Commitment

We are committed to fair moderation. We will never alter a reviewer's opinion or rating. We will only edit or remove content that violates these guidelines or UK law. All moderation actions are logged with timestamps for accountability.
